Responsibilities
System Infrastructure Engineer (permanent position)
You will be assigned to support the maintenance of customer's IT system infrastructure to ensure high level of availability, performance and security. You are to support implementation, configuration, testing, upgrade and troubleshooting of a wide variety of hardware and software in a LAN and standalone environment to fulfil the contractual service level obligation.
Responsibility
To install, configure, test and maintain operating systems, application software and system management tools.
To provide technical hands-on to troubleshoot and resolve performance bottlenecks and systems/hardware related issues.
Liaise with 3rd party vendors/IT providers for support and problem resolution.
Prepare and update technical documentations including SOP, system documents, deployment test plans, capacity reports and incident reports , be well organized with good service and customer focused.
Maintain security, backup, and redundancy strategies.
Plan and implement system automation as required for better efficiency.
Requirements
Minimum a Diploma in IT
Good understanding of a services business in a high-tech environment with awareness of industry technical architecture, emerging technologies and best practices and knowledge to determine "what is" and "what is not possible".
Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, combined with ability to provide quick resolution to problems.
Excellent communication and interpersonal relationship building skills.
Must have the following technical proficiency :
Active Directory
Windows Server Update Services
MS Office 365 ( 1st choice) , MS Exchange ( 2nd choice)
MS Teams
VM Ware or hyper-V
SAN Backup
BigFix is a plus
