Responsibilities
The Quantity Surveyor (QS) will be responsible for managing all aspects of cost planning, estimation, and financial control for M&E projects.
* Prepare detailed cost estimates and budgets for M&E installations and systems, ensuring accurate forecasting of project expenses.
* Develop and review tender documents, including bills of quantities and specifications, to support the procurement process.
* Administer and manage contracts from inception to completion, ensuring compliance with contractual terms and conditions while mitigating risks.
* Conduct precise measurements and valuations of work performed, preparing interim and final payment certificates in accordance with industry standards.
* Monitor project costs continuously, provide regular cost reports to management, and propose value-engineering solutions where necessary.
* Collaborate with project managers, M&E engineers, architects, and contractors to resolve design or contractual issues that may affect project cost or quality.
* Identify potential cost overruns and project risks early in the project lifecycle and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
* Ensure that all work complies with local regulations, industry standards, and company policies, while maintaining high levels of quality control.
Requirements
* A bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is required.
* At least 1 years of relevant experience in quantity surveying within the construction or M&E industry.
* In-depth knowledge of cost estimation, tendering processes, and contract administration within the M&E sector.
* Strong analytical and numerical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.
* High level of accuracy and attention to detail in measurements, valuations, and financial reporting.
