Responsibilities
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head Chef to lead and oversee the entire kitchen operations for our Chinese restaurant.
* Oversee the overall kitchen operations, ensuring smooth and efficient functioning.
* Control and direct the food preparation process to maintain the company’s quality standards.
* Ensure all food served meets the company’s standards for taste and presentation.
* Train new hires and provide ongoing training to all kitchen staff.
* Foster a positive work environment and encourage staff development.
Requirements
* At least 5 years of culinary experience in a Chinese restaurant setting, with a minimum of 3 years in a supervisory role.
* Extensive knowledge of Chinese cuisine and creativity in menu planning.
* Excellent communication and management skills, with bilingual proficiency in English and Mandarin to liaise with stakeholders.
* Strong leadership, decisiveness, and critical thinking skills.
* Must be able to work weekends and public holidays. Comfortable working split shifts.
