Responsibilities
- Manage all daily routines and other operations of the outlet effectively, through well execution of plan, do, check and control.
- Lead and guide the staff to maximize sales and profits of the outlet, to achieve and excel above the sales targets.
- Keep track of sales performances and analyze them, identify and overcome any problem.
- Be familiar with all the company's policies, procedures and practices. Follow them accordingly and ensure that all the staff follow as well.
- Responsible for staff management, such as interviewing, recruiting, training, disciplining and motivating the staff, as well as allocating manpower, planning work schedule and handling staff turnover
- Observe and appraise fairly all subordinate staff’s performance, to help facilitate appropriate guidance to improve performance, rewards and career progression planning.
- Ensure good stock management, which include ordering, receiving, storage and replenishment.
- Be familiar and updated with all merchandise departments and product knowledge.
- Ensure that the shop layout, merchandise display, labels and POS materials are correct and appropriate.
- Communicate effectively with the management, other departments, other outlets and external parties about various issues, such as sales performance, stock inventory, sales promotions and servicing, etc.
- Communicate effectively with all staff. Pass down instructions and messages accurately and timely.
- Ensure that all staff are able to communicate well with customers, provide good customer services, handle enquiries and feedback professional, and explain about our sales promotions.
- Able to do hands-on job personally when necessary, such as cashiering and moving stock.
Requirements
- Minimum ‘N’ Levels, completed secondary school or equivalent.
- Minimum 2-3 years experience in retail as supervisor/ manager role
- Able to work long hours of rotating shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
- Physically healthy. Able to stand and walk for hours to attend to customers. Able to do hands-on work such as handling heavy stock and fixtures whenever necessary.
- Possess good communication and interaction skills
- Pleasant, polite and customer service-oriented.
- Relevant experience required. Preferably with 4 years or more experience in a retail managerial or supervisory position.
- Have passion & knowledge in retail operation, e.g. display, customer service, stock management and staff management.
